Main Components Outdoor Chiller Unit
|
The GEA acqua heating and cooling air-conditioning system consists of 1 outside unit (the chiller) and up to 8 indoor room units, which are connected to the heating system and to the cold-water circulation system.

Heres how the outside chiller unit works: The outside unit is a so-called chiller. A circulation pump continuously pumps the cooled water to the fan coil units installed inside in the rooms. Unlike conventional air-conditioning systems, however, the output that is withdrawn from the system is buffered by a cold-water storage unit. This means that the refrigerating compressor does not have to start each time that cooling is required in the rooms. This saves wear and tear on the compressor and increases its service life.

Components These chillers are extremely robust with respect to weather exposure. The chillers are delivered ready for installation with all required components: including cold-water storage tank, expansion vessel, circulation pump, and electronic control system. Piping connections Standard fittings for supply and return flow for the cold water. The unit also has an automatic filling system, as well as a drain tap. Installation On the roof. At the building wall. Or in the garden. Direct on the flat ground, or with mounting brackets for installation on the outside wall of a building.
