The name TriStyle refers to the three most prominent product characteristics, truly unique in their combination: first of all, the unit is the flattest fan-coil unit on the market. Second, its elegant “flat-screen” design enhances exquisite interior-design surroundings into which it can be most appropriately installed – and yet this technical unit makes a reserved impression. Third, it can provide completely quiet heating with its optional flat radiator. Its chic enclosure makes the new fan-coil unit highly interesting for a wide range of users: including, but not restricted to, hotels, galleries, offices, and medical practices. Home owners who value aesthetics, quiet, and comfort have also discovered that the TriStyle is just the solution for them.
At ISH 2007, GEA Air Treatment will present the GEA TriStyle as an effective complement to its GEA acqua small-size air conditioning system. This small-size air conditioning system has been especially tailored to the requirements of homes and small businesses. It enables achieving the comfort of the “Big boys” – i.e., decentralized air-conditioning systems based on cooling-water circulation systems – but also for small facilities. The GEA TriStyle not only cools: when hooked up to the heating system, it can also deliver heat. Energy for heating comes from the central heating plant, and for cooling, from a chiller installed on the roof or behind the building. When connected to such an outdoor chiller, the GEA acqua system can supply several rooms for cooling via a cold-water network. Similarly to a central heating system, cooling water is distributed through a network consisting of insulated copper pipes.
Fan-coil units such as the GEA TriStyle assure that the desired temperature is maintained in the rooms. Since this solution replaces conventional heating radiators, and since it also performs cooling functions, no additional space is required for an additional indoor unit (as is the case with many other air-conditioning solutions).
The GEA TriStyle is especially compact. With a depth of 128 mm and a height of 655 mm with radiator – and 595 mm without radiator and without feet) – it truly requires very little space. Both model ranges – with and without radiators – are available in 5 sizes, and achieve cooling performance of 0.34 to 3.70 kW (at 7/12°C supply and return flow). The tangential (cross-flow) fan, as well as metal baffles and sound-muffling mats, guarantee very slight production of noise. In heating operations, the GEA TriStyle Geko, equipped with an optional radiator, operates without the slightest of sound. The fan can be switched on for heat-up, in order to warm a room to the desired temperature as fast as possible. According to model size, the unit achieves heating output up to 7.6 kW (at 70/50°C supply and return flow).
With installation feet, available as accessories, the GEA TriStyle Geko can be installed on the floor. The mounting rails delivered in the standard kit enable installation onto the wall. With the aid of an accessory kit, it is also possible to set the unit up in the open. In addition, the narrow form of the fan-coil unit enables installation of a unit without enclosure above suspended ceilings, or in parapet walls.
